Virginia Baptist Music & Worship Arts Class
In July, 2018, Pastor Jim Schwerdtfeger and Pat Foster attended Eagle Eyrie Music & Worship Arts Camp with 4 GMBC youth: Lee, Kyerra, Aiden, and Cherry Lynn! These youth learned to worship through music and other arts. Kyerra enjoyed the choir and watercolor workshops. Lee learned new scales on the piano and Aiden worshipped through playing the trumpet. Cherry Lynn used her gifts from God to sing in the choir and sing for the GMBC congregation on July 22, 2018. We were all lifted by these young people!
Youth Event: July 31, 2018 a Success!
Our youth (ages 12 and up) participated in a service project and fun on Tuesday, July 31! They worked at Gleaning for the World (2-4 PM) and then returned to the church for games, food, and fellowship. Check out the pictures of our youth and adults who participated!
Our youth meet every Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00PM. Youth are always encouraged to bring a friend! Contact our Youth Pastor for more information about our active youth group! Your prayers are appreciated.
A Vacation Bible School Thank You!
Thank you to all of the children, youth, and adults who made this year's VBS such a great success! A special thanks goes to Brittany Dalton and Rebecca Reames for coordinating our Vacation Bible School. Take a look at the community service projects our youth took on during this time: Working at Gleaning for the World, visiting elderly community and church members, and helping folks at Walmart!
Come join our Mission Friends, our group for children ages 3 through 6th grade. We meet Mondays at 6:00PM and participate in many different missions!
Under the direction of our Youth Pastor, our Kingdom Kids are very active! Kingdom Kids, our children from first through fifth grade, meet 2:00-3:00 on the third Sunday each month.
Youth Serve God by Serving Others!
Once again, our youth have been busy "serving God by serving others." Our youth visited many residents of the Woodlands in Farmville on September 29, 2018. Our young people are showing Christ's love through their actions to help others in our community.
